Judy Nguyen has been the Curriculum Development Specialist in Educations Technology for a Catholic girls college prep high school since 2012 when the school started its 1:1 laptop program. In her position, Judy supports the teachers in integrating educational technology into their curriculum by offering one-on-one training as well as faculty-wide professional development opportunities . Although no longer a teacher in the classroom, Judy does lead student laptop training sessions in the beginning of the school year and is often a guest in classes where teachers are testing a new technical skill or activity.
Prior to taking on the role of Curriculum Development Specialist, Judy taught Intro to Catholicism, Old and New Testament, World Religions, and Catholic Social Teaching as a member of the Religious Studies Department. Judy was introduced to Moodle in 2006 during her first year of teaching. She quickly realized the potential of such a powerful educational tool and started to integrate Moodle into her curriculum little by little until after 6 years, her classes were fully online and practically paperless.
Judy enjoys sharing her love of Moodle and educational technology altogether and hope this first attempt at blogging can open new opportunities and relationships in this exciting world of discovery.
